MINUTES OF BATCH MEETING HELD ON MARCH 5, 2012 AT THE PHILIPPINE COASTGUARD OFFICE (PCG), PIER 3, CEBU CITY.
x-------------------------------------------------------------------x

The meeting started at 8:30 P.M.

The gracious host of the batch meeting who provided the cozy venue and sumptuous meal is through the kindness of Commodore Cecil R Chen, who is again given the distinct honor of another promotion and this time he will relocate to NCR – Central Luzon where he will assume the post of District Commander. Go! Go! Chasao! You have done our alma mater and 76’ers proud. Your high school batchmates are very proud and happy on your latest achievement. Congrats and more power!

SALIENT POINTS DISCUSSED AND PROPOSED:

A. SPECIAL COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS- ALUMNI HOMECOMING JULY 2012

Treasurers/Finance Officers: FE ESCAñO, MARION OSMEñA, MARIVIC (CIEL) BACUS

Mass/Program/Fellowship: EDITH BORRES CERNA, GING-GING MARTINEZ & EDNA BELANGEL, RABEL ABELLA, ANN VERANO AND JOSEPH MASECAMPO

Food Committee: under the supervision of FE PUSON-ESCAñO (note: Fe’s daughter who has a catering business will do this for the batch at very competitive and reasonable price)

BATCH Souvenir: JUN ENRIQUEZ

B. It was agreed by the batch that our scheme to encourage good attendance is BRING A CLASSMATE/BATCHMATE approach. This will give a more personalized touch to the event. This is very important to those batch mates who are not that financially blessed or if money is not their problem, are just too shy or ill at ease in attending homecomings. The game plan is to just EXTEND AN INVITATION TO THIS CLASSMATE OR BATCH MATE TO ATTEND THE ALUMNI HOMECOMING ACTIVITIES without mentioning any contribution. It is up to the batch whether collectively or individually to sponsor any financial obligations that will be spent in behalf of this batch mate or classmate. Some of the batch mates from the girl’s high that night immediately gave donation as sinking fund to sponsor a classmate or batch mate for the grand reunion. To name a few are Jane Peñalosa Lim and Edith Borres Cerna. The complete list is with our very energetic Treasurers/Finance Officers as mentioned above.

C. PROPOSED ACTIVITIES FOR THIS THREE (3) DAY AFFAIR are the following:

The batch brain stormed for these critical days to maximize our bonding moment as it’s not everyday we have an alumni homecoming like this and to make our CORAL ANNIVERSARY (36 years) really meaningful and worthwhile. Areas considered are accessibility, convenience and affordability.

D. SOUVENIR ITEMS FOR BATCH 76

1. To make our 36 years celebration extra special, the batch has agreed to make a commemorative t-shirt to be worn during the GRAND ALUMNI HOMECOMING. In-charge for the DESIGN and T-SHIRT PROCUREMENT is Jun Enriquez.

COST OF THE T-SHIRT - to be advised by Jun Enriquez in our next regular meeting on April 14, 2012.

2. Commemorative Mug - Cecil Chen has seen one in Ayala and he will show this to Jun Enriquez for sample purposes and also for Jun to do the design cover in the mug. Final Costing to be advised later.

E. OTHER MATTERS:

1. INFORMATION CAMPAIGN for our alumni homecoming - to use the community billboards of the leading local newspapers such as Sunstar, Freeman and CDN to maximize attendance. Point persons are Jun Saberon for the boy’s dept. and Fe Puson for the girl’s dept. Draft of the announcement to be prepared by Joji Enriquez.

2. Depending our time and schedule, BATCH MATES AND FAMILY members may opt to go out of town to explore the beautiful beaches of Cebu. The batch is highly recommending BUNZIE’S COVE in Tabogon, Cebu. Dear Classmates:

The time is getting closer to our high school reunion. Let us all give a hand to make this rare occasion a great success.
As you well know, some of us have not seen each other for more than 3 decades, and this Grand Reunion in July will be our rare chance to reconnect, and reminisce the fun and excitement of our high school days.
Therefore, I encourage each and everyone, especially those who are based overseas and those who are timid about their misfortunes or lack of success, to make an extra effort to attend this occasion.
